When the action begins, you slug your way through some nice-looking but repetitive stages, knocking off chain- saw-wielding maniacs, bomb-throwing lunatics, and armored futuristic soldiers - just to name a few.

During Metropolis's reconstruction, four pseudo-Supers appear, all lined up for Superman's job. While fighting a creature named Doomsday, he's killed by the force of its blast. For example, the flying enemy Warworlder is simply recolored Elite from earlier levels.
